Relay blocks are inserted where two same-length crown moldings meet.
Relay blocks not only eliminate the need for seaming the moldings, they also add architectural details to your room.
It is also called corbel. Europeans, especially French, used large corbels to add structural statement to buildings although not always with crown moldings. Lynea incorporates this concept by making them slimmer (2" wide) to achieve the results stated above.
You can also use our relay block where a inside corner is larger than 90 degree as a transitional piece to replace mitering.
