Simple Installation, Amazing Results
Just a few extra steps will allow you to create amazing lighting in any room:
1. The gap between the top of the molding and the ceiling will typically be 2". Measure an extra inch (typically 3") down from the top of the ceiling and mark it all the way around the room.
2. For 6" and 8" crown profiles use 2" x 2" wood. For 4" crown profiles use 1" x 2" wood. Take the wood and mount it securely against the wall, with the top of the wood at the line you just marked.
3. You will notice that our molding profiles have a space to accommodate the wood you just mounted. Place the molding against the wood and mount using adhesive and nails as you normally would against the wall.
4. Now simply place the rope lighting behind the molding for beautiful indirect lightiing.
Notes: The wood pieces can be sectioned in 1 foot pieces with 1 foot gaps in between. This may make mounting and installation easier, but slightly affect the evenness of your lighting.
