Lynea moldings are custom designed with notches on their back to accommodate standard wood strips to be used when lowering the crown moldings is required for easy indirect lighting.
1. Plan to have the crown moldings installed by leaving a space between 2 and 3" from the ceiling down.
2. Locate the position where you want the dimmer switch to be. It is usually placed next to an existing light switch for an easy splicing.(Consult an electrical professional please.)
3. After the junction/dimmer switch box is placed, fish the wire up to where the crown molding will be and install the outlet.
4. Mark and install the wood strips for the back support of the crown moldings.
5. Install the crown moldings by attaching them both to the wood strips and walls.
6. Connect rope light.
Note: When using it for home theaters, you can also hide speaker wires with this application without having to resort to drilling into walls or coming in from the ceiling for wiring.
