Frequently Asked Questions

1.  How are your moldings "miterless"?
Most crown or cornice moldings require difficult mitering and seaming. A corner miter often requires a series of complex cuts.  If the cuts aren't perfect, then the corners look bad.  In order get rid of the headache of mitering, we have designed matching corner blocks and relays. Corner blocks replace the mitered corners and add architectural accent to the room.

2. What are matching corners?
Many corner blocks are generic and lack architectural definition. Lynea corner blocks match the patterns making the theme continuous.

3. How do I attach the corners to the wall?
Just glue and nail it!

4. Why do your corners and relays protrude further (1/8") than the crown moldings?

Since the surfaces of both wall and ceiling are never perfect, it is very difficult to seam and/or join any crown molding flawlessly.  The corners are made to not only replace mitering, having them slightly protruding farther also eliminates seaming.  The corners and relays also add architectural detail and helps to break the monotony of moldings running lineally.

5. How do I paint the moldings? All of our moldings come pre-primed. You can easily paint them with any water based paint. We recommend that you paint the moldings and accessories prior to installation.
