Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me understand some of the lighting that I've seen in the gallery. It looks very pretty but I am not sure how to do it myself. How is the light coming from behind the molding? What type of light are you using and how do I install that type of lighting? Any info would be very helpful thanks.

Hi love2paint thanks for the questions. The pictures in our gallery with the lighting are examples of "Dropdown Lighting" where the molding is lowered from the ceiling for a light to be placed behind. Our 4" and 6" crown moldings have space on the profile for a 1" x 2" and 2" x 2" piece of wood respectively. Simply nail the piece of wood in to the wall first and then nail the molding in to the wood. This allows for a secure installation when creating recessed lighting.
The lighting we are using is our incandescent rope lighting, available in our "Tools and Supplies" section. If you are unfamiliar with electrical, you should hire an electrician to wire the lighting through a switch and behind the molding for you. If you are familiar with electrical, the rope light operates off a standard 110v and can be wired in to any portion of the home.
If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to ask!
